OUR MISSION
LOST PEOPLE SAVED, SAVED PEOPLE MATURED, MATURE PEOPLE MULTIPLIED ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
Our mission statement is just our way of saying The Great Commission; the mission that Jesus Himself gave to all of His church in Matthew 28:19-20.
WHAT IS A DISCIPLE?
Our primary focus at Redemption Church is not a quantity of disciples but a quality of discipleship. A disciple is a learner, a follower, a person who is eager to apply the teachings of Jesus to their every-day lives. A disciple isn't someone who has everything in order but by definition a person in process.
ABIDE, GROW, REACH.
At Redemption Church, we describe a disciple by using three simple words: abide, grow, reach. No matter which Great Commission Collective church you attend - in Canada, the United States or abroad - we all use these same words to help us accomplish our purpose.
We believe the disciples of Jesus Christ should minister to one another in the local church. It's not about one or a small number of pastors bearing the total responsibility to care for the entire congregation. It's about all disciples using their God-given spiritual gifts to provide mutual ministry in the context of the vibrant and strong local church (Ephesians 4:11-12).
